Corrugated cardboard and corrugated boxes were tested for five physical properties. Is the side pressure strength, burst strength, puncture strength, adhesive strength and compression test.
Performance tests must be performed on all specimens. The test was performed after the sample was treated for 24 hours in a constant temperature and humidity environment at a temperature of 23°C ± 2°C and a humidity of 50% ± 5%.
First, the side pressure strength test
In the corrugated direction, a certain width (25mm) of corrugated cardboard, the unit of length can withstand the vertical and uniform increase in force, called the corrugated cardboard side pressure strength (sampler as shown below).
The unit of side pressure strength is: N/m. Three specimens from each of the three specimens were measured to have a size of 100 mm ± 0.5 mm × 25 mm ± 0.5 mm. A total of nine specimens with no printing, no mechanical indentation, and damage were obtained.
The side pressure strength test instrument is a HH-KY3000 plate compression tester (as shown below).

The side pressure strength test method is to place the sample in the middle of the pressure plate under the tester so that the corrugation direction of the sample is perpendicular to the two pressure plates. The sample is supported by the guide block so that the surface of the sample is perpendicular to the platen and the tester is applied. pressure. When the pressure is close to 50N, remove the guide block until the sample is crushed. Record the maximum pressure that the sample can withstand (accurate to 1N).
The cardboard compression tester calculates the side pressure strength according to the following formula, and can print the test result.

In the formula:
R: side pressure strength unit N/m;
F: The sample withstands the maximum pressure N;
L: The length of the long side of the sample is mm.
The unit of side pressure strength is N/m, and the length of the long side of the sample is 100 mm, which requires data processing. First convert 100mm to 0.1m and calculate according to the above formula. Assume that the arithmetic average pressure of the sample under test is 680N. After data processing, it is:
680N/0.1m=6800N/m
Then, according to the above formula, the edge pressure intensity value of the sample is:
6.80×103N/m
The side pressure of the corrugated board directly affects the supporting strength of the corrugated box. The corrugated board production process, the structure of the corrugated board, the shape of the crucible, the quality of the adhesive and other factors can all affect the side pressure strength of the corrugated board.
Second, the burst strength test
The maximum pressure that a corrugated board can withstand evenly per unit area is the burst strength of corrugated board.
The burst strength unit is: kPa. From each of the three sample boxes, four blocks of 140mm×140mm each with no printing, no watermark, no crease or obvious damage were taken.
The burst strength test instrument is a HH-NP5600 paperboard burst tester (as shown below).

Breaking strength test method:
A rubber film (paperboard glue film) that is firmly clamped by a lower pressure ring and can be firmly fixed between the upper and lower pressure rings by a hydraulic force under the action of a hydraulic force and passes through the protrusions The film breaks it. The test specimens were divided into groups A and B. A group was positively attached to the adhesive film, and the B group was attached to the rubber film on the reverse side for testing. When the specimen breaks, the 5-inch LCD shows the value. And find the arithmetic average, and you can print the test results.
The hydraulic pressure of the bursting resistance meter is very important. Always observe the hydraulic oil (201-50 cst methyl silicone oil), whether it is deteriorated or defaced due to running, so as to ensure that the hydraulic oil can meet the working requirements.
Third, the puncture strength test
The power of the corrugated board is made by a certain shape of the pyramid. The energy shown is called the puncture strength of the corrugated board.
The unit of puncture strength is: J. Four specimens with a size of 175 x 175 mm were taken from the wall of each sample box of three sample boxes. The puncture strength test instrument is the HH-CC48 cardboard puncture strength tester (see below).

Puncture strength test method is to take the sample taken in the front and back of the longitudinal and positive and negative side respectively in order to have a fixed force with the hole in the middle of the splint, adjust the weight required to set the friction ring behind the pyramid, select Test the appropriate measuring range, adjust the zero position, set the pointer to the highest scale value, and then activate the release device so that the swing arm pushes the pyramid to penetrate the sample. Read the measured value.
For the test results, find the arithmetic mean and keep the three significant figures.
Fourth, the adhesive strength test
Corrugated paper board surface, inside, core paper and wave corrugated paper peak adhesion degree, in a certain unit length by the pressure test can withstand the maximum peel force. According to GB6548 "Corrugated board adhesive strength measurement method" provisions, from Hangzhou Hua Han Paper Testing Instrument Equipment Co., Ltd. HH-NH23 type bond strength test rack (see below).
The unit of adhesive strength is: N/m. Four specimens of (80±1) mm×(25±1) mm in size were taken from the wall of each of the three specimens.
Adhesive strength test method is: insert the special needle-shaped attachments into the tissue paper (between the crepe paper and the core paper), and then insert the sample into the HH- Pressure is applied to the KY3000 plate compression tester so that it is relatively effective until the sample is peeled off. The test result is displayed on the LCD screen. The cardboard compression tester calculates the adhesive strength according to the following formula, and calculates the arithmetic mean value, and the test result can be printed.

Fifth, anti-stress test
The carton compressive capacity refers to the highest pressure value that the box can bear when it is placed in a three-dimensional manner in a corrugated box. Pressure resistance unit: N. Take the box and the box surface shall not be damaged and there are obviously three cases of bumps, stamp marks. The pressure resistance test equipment is HH-KY50k carton compression tester (as shown below).

The test method of anti-pressure test is to stereoscopically fit three sample boxes, seal it with sealing tape, and put it into the middle position of the lower pressure plate of the compression tester, and start the upper pressure plate close to the empty box. Then pressurize the standard speed until the box collapses. The carton compression tester displays the maximum pressure value and deformation amount on the LCD screen, automatically calculates the arithmetic mean value, and prints the data.
The criteria for acceptance criteria for resistance to pressure testing are as follows: When the pressure resistance values ​​of the tested three sample boxes are all greater than the standard resistance pressure values, the test is qualified. If one of the sample boxes fails, the test is unqualified.
6. When the performance test items are all qualified, the performance test is judged as qualified. If there is a failure, the performance test is judged as unqualified.
